Position- Design Engineer- Mechanical
The Design Engineer – Mechanical works with R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Standards to
ensure product development. This role designs, develops, modifies, evaluates and verifies
mechanical components for energy meters.
Preferred experience
- Design, development, testing, compliance, traceability, documentation and refinement
constraints.
- Develop layouts and drawings as per Indian standards of various developed products
- Select components and equipment based on analysis of specifications, reliability and
- Apply creativity and engineering principles to the design, analysis and testing of
- Support the creation and/or change of product requirements, specifications, test
- Fundamental knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering practices and
design and concept generation CAD (Creo) or CAE modeling tools.
- Create documentation of analysis, design and testing.
- Involvement with line engineers and operators to make the manufacturing process more
- Contribute ideas during new product development sessions.
- Responsible for developing and testing new components for energy meters as per
requirement of the company & client.
Requisite Skills
- Must be able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have the ability to
- Demonstrated mechanical problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience with SolidWorks or other CAD.
- Demonstrated technical design and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated design for manufacturability skills in capital equipment design.
- Exercise discretion and independence when applying professional expertise.
- Must be able to bring tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.
Experience
10+ years of relevant work experience.
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent qualification in
Electrical Engineering or related Engineering degree.

Responsibilities
