Role:


  • Teachers create a warm fostering environment in the classroom that facilitates learning.

  • Teachers help impart knowledge to their students as per the defined curriculum.

  • Teachers mentor and nurture students and role model desirable progressive social attitudes and
  • behavior.

  • Teachers work closely with other teachers in their Curriculum Area, their Assistant Curriculum and
  • Curriculum Leaders, Key Stage Leaders and other the school leadership to ensure optimal student learning
  • and teaching.

Planning and preparing for students’ learning:

  • 1. Plan appropriately using knowledge and understanding of The British School Context.
  • 2. Keep abreast of contemporary pedagogical approaches and work to implement best practice.
  • 3. Possess appropriate content knowledge.
  • 4. Have an understanding of students’ needs and abilities and design appropriate learning experiences.
  • 5. Identify appropriate learning outcomes for students.
  • 6. Plan and implement effective assessment for/of learning which enhances outcomes for students.

Qualification


  • Qualified teacher with a graduate degree. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience


  • Preferably 3 + years teaching experience in an international school.

Job Description

 The Speech Therapist will work with children on the Autism Spectrum, who have


  • limited or emerging language, under the supervision of a behaviour specialist. The SLP will be responsible for
  • speech and language therapy as well as augmentative communication and should have some familiarity with
  • picture exchange communication systems (pecs) and sign language.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Assesses the students' communication skills (e.g. articulation, fluency, voice, expressive and receptive
  • language, etc.) for the purpose of identifying communication challenges and developing appropriate

program plans 


Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEP) based on child’s needs along with the

lead teacher 


Maintains files and records (e.g. progress reports, activity logs, treatment plans, and quarterly reports

on the progress of the student.)
