Role: Information Scientist
Location: Pune (Remote Working Available)

We enable clients in the life sciences industry to efficiently collect, analyse, report, and submit high quality regulatory data, while maintaining compliance for their products around the world.
As part of the SEND group of service specialist, this role involves converting nonclinical data into SEND standard compliant datasets.
Tasks associated with the Role:
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of preclinical data
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of SEND and other regulatory standards/guidance
- Perform reviews of preclinical data converted into SEND
- Perform reviews for SEND compliance
- Develop the ability to understand customer needs
- Engage in additional SEND related consultancy services: SEND Education, SEND Consultancy, Dataset Verification, FDA Submissions, Services associated with clients implementing our Submit suite of products.
- Adherence to the Company’s Quality Management System to ensure that all work is handled Securely, Professionally and Diligently

Full Job Description
Reporting to the HR People Operations Team Lead, the HR Administrator is responsible for providing timely guidance and query resolution to employees across all levels of the organization, and as related to the full range of HR policies, procedures, and services designed to support them from both a personal and organizational perspective
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for questions and issues regarding HR related policies and procedure (i.e. on boarding, benefits and engagement initiatives, staffing, training, separations, transfers, etc.). Answer inbound calls, emails, and provide support to identify, analyze and educate customers on additional informational resources available.
- Responsible for the activities of HR support involving hiring, dismissals, vacations, leaves, transfers, and the other HR processes.
- Maintain employee records in a human resources information system (HRIS) so that information is timely, accurate, and secure.
- Respond to enquiries from managers and external agencies (i.e. government departments) about individual information, without compromising the organization's standards of privacy and confidentiality.
- Achieve performance measures and adhere to established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in the relevant area of expertise to support the wider HR People Operations Team
- Ensure implementation and utilization of policies, procedures, and programs dealing with the specific HR activities.
- Participate and deploy global Smiths HR initiatives and projects to support the achievement of HR People Operations objectives as well as proactively supporting continuous improvement initiatives in HR areas.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee information within the People Operations team.
- Design, generate, and distribute queries, reports, and statistical summaries related to HR metrics.
- Complete data entry and maintenance of relevant HRIS technology.
- Assist in the coordination of organizational changes and provide both administration and face-to-face support.
- Ownership of projects on an ad-hoc basis that may often require engagement with a variety of HR teams.

The Individual
- This will be a fixed term contract.
- Experience: 3-5 years
- Knowledge and experience in technologies, tools and applications, such as ADP products, HRIS systems, SAP.
- Thorough knowledge of concepts and practices within the HR function and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem solving skills with high levels of verbal and numerical reasoning.
- Able to plan and deliver the designated work objectives of the role according to the respective project deadline requirements and SLA's.
- Ability to work effectively in situations that require sound decision making and may involve confidential or sensitive matters.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Manage day to day cases to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Required to comply with all applicable practices and documentation.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Prior HR Shared Services experience preferred.
- Prior HRIS and customer service experience supporting multi-site or remote clients
- Fluency in English preferred.
- Fluency in other relevant regional languages preferred.

- Conducting market research in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare industry for the regions like Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, Latin America and Middle East.
- Generation of qualitative (original market, product, presentations, reports, profiles, company analysis) and quantitative (databases, models, market estimation, forecast) insights from the standard data.

- Review and approve or reject clinical datasets within Blur as the role of the Reviewer
- Analyze, modify, and correct clinical documents within Blur as the role of Anonymizer
- Work on multiple projects, manage priorities and timelines
- Provide feedback to our product development team to improve our solutions for both our internal delivery and external customers
- Adherence to our Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure all work is handled securely, professionally and diligently.
Skills you’ll need:
Minimum undergraduate degree (preferably in computer science, mathematics, or life sciences)
Basic knowledge, experience, and understanding of clinical trial transparency
Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments
Experience with transparency regulations to include but not limited to, EMA Policy 0070 and Heath Canada Public Release of Clinical Information
